St Andrews Cathedral

This aerial image shows the cathedral ruins. Building commenced in 1158 and took over a century to complete. Stripped and abandoned in 1559 -1561 it was left to decay and fall into ruin. It became the final resting place of the good and great of St Andrews during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
